Srinuji, Artist & illustrator, was born on 16th July 1968, at Satyavolu village, West Godavari district, in Andhra Pradesh. He did his BFA from JNTU college of fine arts, Hyderabad (1987-1992).
He is one of the foremost among the contemporary popular artists, renowned for village culture paintings. His paintings reflect the realistic style of village life and are proud possessions of art galleries and art lovers. His water colour paintings have been well received by art lovers throughout India.
Many of his water colour paintings have adorned the covers of books, greetings, magazines and have been used for various design purposes. His work is truly inspirational and his paintings cast a spell on art lovers. Art lovers tend to forget about the hustle-bustle of city life, after being captivated by his work on village life.
He draws his inspiration from a very great artist, Shri. Pratap Mulick who is well known globally. He has had the privilege to work under the able guidance of Shri. Pratap Mulick, in Pune during the year 1986-1987, as an illustrator. Another source of his inspiration is a famous artist, Shri.Chandra, from who he learnt the nuances of strokes for his illustrations. |

He has been highly appreciated by many famous artists like Shri.Pratap Mulick, Shri. Jagdish Mittal, Shri.Chandra etc. The present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri.Y.S.Rajshekhar Reddy Garu, many other ministers and prominent personalities have commended him for his work.
Work Profiles: He worked as an illustrator and artist for the Indian Express Group (magazines), Hyderabad, during the year 1994-2004.
ART EXHIBITIONS & CAMPS:
1) Held an art exhibition on 4th May, 2006 at ICCR ART GALLERY, Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, inaugurated by Art Historian Shri Jagdish Mittal.
2) Participated in the 66th ALL INDIA ART EXHIBITION in January 2007 & 2008, at Hyderabad.
3) Conducted a summer camp at SALARJUNG MUSEUM, Hyderabad on
25th May, 2007.
4) Held an art exhibition titled 'JALAYAGNAM' on 25th July, 2007 at ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE HALL, Hyderabad, inaugurated by the honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri.Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy Garu. Also in attendance was the Speaker of Andhra Pradesh, Shri. K.R Suresh Reddy and several other Ministers.
5) He was appointed by the TIMES OF INDIA, as Judge for a painting
competition in November 2007.
6) Participated in the HYDERABAD ART SOCIETY CAMP, held in January, 2008.
7) Proposed to hold an art exhibition in Mumbai, at MUMBAI ART GALLERY, Andheri West, during 24th to 31st, October, 2008. |
